Hercules cluster

It is rich in spiral galaxies and shows many interacting galaxies. Like shiny flakes sparkling in a snow globe, over 100stars whirl within the globular cluster M1 one of the brightest star clusters visible from the Northern Hemisphere. Messier is one of the brightest and best known globular clusters in the northern sky.


Photographs of this cluster often appear in books because it contains some large spiral galaxies as well as the elliptical and lenticular galaxies usually found in rich clusters. The cluster has an apparent magnitude of 5. A nearby spiral-rich irregular cluster of galaxies.

It is not as rich in galaxies, nor as centrally concentrate as the Coma cluster. Welcome back to Messier Monday! Colors in the composite image.


It contains about 2galaxies and is particularly rich in spirals. It is part of the larger Hercules Supercluster (SCI 160). These galaxies have many hot, young stars, plus the raw materials for many new stars. As a result, they’re bright and vigorous.


Many of the cluster ’s galaxies are interacting.

All around the night sky, any time of the year, there are hundreds and hundreds of star clusters. Just slowly scan the heavens. Sporting several large spirals and a number of hefty elliptical galaxies, this cluster is a component of the Hercules supercluster, which in turn is a portion of the Great Wall superstructure about 5million light years away. The sharpness of the new picture. Hercules is a constellation named after Hercules , the Roman mythological hero adapted from the Greek hero Heracles. Hercules was one of the constellations listed by the 2nd century astronomer Ptolemy, and it remains one of the modern constellations today. It is the fifth largest of the modern constellations.


It is a bit more challenging to find Hercules Globular Cluster. Hercules (aabreviation: Her), representing the mythical hero famed for his labors, is a very large but unspectacular northern constellation. Mis about 1light-years in diameter, and has several hundred thousand stars.
